wow, i'm impressed. imho, it's weird to see the overflow pipe in each container. nonetheless, it's a very nice and neat set up. it's good to know that you have your parent's support in your hobby. :)

btw, could you provide the piping diagram as well? and do you have a UV filter installed? if you don't, i would strongly suggest you get one.

I think this system is not a barrack but an automated water changing system. If I am not wrong, this system doesnt run on a sump.

From this series of picture, my conclusion is that this system uses an ingenious suction overflow system to get rid of fish waste (only nick can tell us whether it actually works, but the theory is the same). I will try to explain it in detail in the following picture.

Overflowing water, going into the yellow tube will create a suction effect on the hole in the white pipe. Dirt will be sucked into the hole in the white pipe and be discharged from the tank into the sump tank. Hope this brief explanation helps.
